Wonderful Joy, Wonderful Peace

1 Peter:3-9

I read something this week about how different people are handling this lockdown. It was talking about some people being able to deal with it with no problems, they are taking the time to get things done that they haven’t had time to get done. Others are having a rougher time because they are worrying about family members and finances, but that some are being overcome by anxiety and are losing hope. The point made was to be kind, be kind to those that are having a hard time and, just as importantly, be kind to yourself. We are absolutely living through unprecedented times. We have no history to prepare us for this and we will all – at different times – be handling it differently. Desmond Tutu said, “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.”

It is my prayer that you are able to see a glimmer of light in the middle of all this.
