Last week, I was asked more than once, how we could love others that didn’t seem to want our love. Maybe the answer to that is by loving others the way mothers love their children.
Think about that for a minute. Typically, mothers love us regardless. They love us regardless of whether we are being “good.” They love us regardless of whether we are being likeable. They love us when we don’t want to be around them. They love us when they don’t want to be around us! Mothers just love us.
Just like God’s love isn’t based on anything we do or don’t do, neither is our mother’s. At least I pray you have or had a mother or mother figure in your life who just loves you.
Because loving mother’s show us how to feel love like God has for us and how to extend love like Jesus extended to others.
