Amos 6-9

Chapter 7: Amos shares visions of judgment and the impending destruction of Israel. However, in response to Amos's intercession, God relents from complete destruction. This chapter highlights the importance of a righteous intercessor.

Chapter 8: Amos delivers a vision of a basket of ripe fruit, symbolizing Israel's imminent downfall. He condemns their dishonest trade practices and greed, which have resulted in God's judgment.

Chapter 9: Amos envisions the destruction of Israel's sanctuary and their scattering among the nations. Yet, there is a message of hope for the restoration of the "tabernacle of David." The chapter concludes by emphasizing God's ability to bring about restoration and transformation.
